Yes I know Wisconsin State Fair is this week. I know some of you are craving a cream puff or others items that may be fried, cheesy, utterly sliding down your intestines because they are so greasy. So Here are a few tips for you to indulge in a little State Fair Fun without over doing it!

1) Share: You and your friends can have a little sampling session where just have a little taste. This is the best when you know there are a lot of things you want to try!

2) Taste and Toss: Yes, have taste and toss it! You don’t have to eat the entire thing! And don’t feel guilty! It’s garbage food, so put it where it belongs.

3) Burn it to Earn it: Yeah you heard me, get a big caloric burn in earlier that day because these tasty treats pack in a high caloric value. For instance, a deep fried mars bar is a whooping 400 calories. A corn dog, 300 calories or more depending on the size. Get in a killer workout before  the Fair (I know a place where you can do that ) and then indulge with a little less guilt.

4) Get Back on Track the Next Day: Okay, so don’t let your little State Fair Food Frenzy cause a week long sugar fest. Start the next morning with a good protein shake. The liquid will be easy on your digestive track after a day full of foreign food matter. Keep it light the rest of your day focusing on a lot of raw vegetables and fruits. It will get your body back on track.

5) When you Play you Pay: Know that you all have been really good about your nutrition, so when you put these toxic substances in your body your body will not be happy with you. Without going into all the details, prepare yourself for a food hangover. Get over this hangover by drinking lots of water, eating healthy whole foods, and stearing clear of toxic, processed foods.

Good Luck!
