Fit For the Fall 30 Day Challenge
Fall is here and it is time to get motivated and set our fall fitness goals. The Andare Fitness 30 day challenge is the perfect way to refocus, recommit and get on track to fitness and health success.
With the challenge start date approaching on October 1st, I know many of you have been thinking about what you want to accomplish during this 30 day time frame. The challenge guidelines are to workout 30 minutes everyday for 30 days. But I also know that many of you have been looking at other goals you can focus on during this time frame. Some of you it’s drinking 8 glasses of water each day, other’s it’s getting 7 or more hours of sleep each night. Whatever you goal may be, look at applying the SMART system to planning your goals.
SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely
So let’s look at Specific: Making your goal specific is key to knowing exactly what you are going to do. Are you going to drink more water? Or are you going to drink 64oz of water a day? Are you going to eat healthier? Or are you going to be gluten free for 30 days. Can you see the difference in two goals? Be specific so your can pave a trail to achieving your goal.
Make sure your goal is Measurable: Looking at the example above of drinking more water. Well what is more? You can’t measure more. But you can measure 32 oz. You could have a little daily journal where you log your water intake. And I bet if you have an i-phone there is probably an App for that. With the 30 day challenge success board, you will be able to measure your progress on the way to your goal.
Having Attainable Goals: IF YOU CAN THINK IT, YOU CAN DO IT! I believe any goal is attainable. But the key with this step, is instead of thinking of all the things that might get in your way. You think of all the ways that you can reach your goal. So instead of thinking of all the things that may prevent you from working out 30 minutes every day, you are finding ways to make it happen. You get up earlier to fit it in. You make workout dates with your friends. You schedule it on your calendar as in important appointment. Yes, you can do it!
Believing in your goal will make it Realistic: When a goal is realistic, it is something that you truly believe in your heart that you can do it and you will do it. You are both willing and able to do the work. You can have a goal that is set very high, yet if you believe and see it in your heart and mind then it is realistic. Choose a goal that fires up your passion. Why is working out for 30 days important to you? Find this reason and you will make it happen.
Last but not least, your goal should be Timely: No sweat here, because the challenge is only 30 days! The timeline is set for you. This is important because you have a finite time limit to focus and accomplish your goal. Races are great example of this principle, because you have a specific date for an event, then you have a timeline to get ready. Many people like racing, because it is a great way to stay goal oriented.
So what are you goals for the 30 Day Challenge?
Well I will share mine:
1) Obviously, workout at least 30 minutes a day for 30 days.
2) Be Gluten Free (GF) for 30 days
3) Be Dairy Free (DF) for 30 days.
So here are my goals! Guess what? You all know them, so now I am accountable to you. That will increase my chances of achieving my goals because I am accountable to all of you.
What are you goals? I would love for you to share them with me. And if you feel the need for accountability, post them here so the rest of the posse can know your goals and help support you!

Boost Weight Loss Success by Building Your Support Team
Author: adminSep 21
Examine most successful business owners, athletes or people you know. What do they have in common? For most individuals to be successful, they have a team of supporters that help them be their best.
For you to be successful at weight loss and reaching your goals, you also need to form your own support team. These people need to believe in you and give positive encouragement along your journey. They need to build you up when you are doubting your abilities. But they also need to keep you in check when you are sabotaging your own goals.
So as you embark on this journey to become fit and healthy, who is on your team? And when you choose these people, how do you get them ready to be a supporter for you goals?
Well for starters, think like a business. What is your mission statement for this journey? Why are you trying to lose weight and what does this mean to you? You need to define this so that you can let your team know why they should jump on board and support you. The best place is looking deep inside and find that burning desire why you are ready to change. My advice, write that reason out and keep it with you. You can also make copies and give it to your team.
So who’s on your team? Well here are some examples:
ME! You bet I’m on your team. Not only as your coach and trainer, but as your cheerleader, mentor, motivator and best friend. I believe in each one of you. And I know that all of you have what it takes to be health, fit and fierce! It is my joy and life mission to see you all live a healthy and vibrant life.
You’re workout posse here at Andare fitness.Your workout Team is here for you. Over the years, I have seen so many hugs, high fives, emails and compliments flying around the gym. This is the place to feel your best. When one person does something awesome, everyone gets fired up. When someone is having a hard time, we gather up to help them through. You’re never alone here at Andare Fitness.

Friends and family. Sometimes this is a tough area. Many of you tell me that you often get resistance from loved ones when you want to workout or buy healthy food. Just remember that change can be scary. Not only for you, but for the people in your life. Again, let them know your mission statement and how important this change is for you. You do not have to force your change on their lives, however you need to take care of yourself. So when you go grocery shopping and stop buying chips for the house, well then if they need their chip fix they will have to stop at the gas station and get a snack bag. Because from now on you choose to support healthy habbits. Usually what I see is that when they see how happy and successful you are, your family and friends jump on board.
It is not weak to ask for help. It is a wise use of your time and energy to utilize the wonderful people in your life. And if you want to repay them for their support, just let them know that you appreciate them. Because really, seeing YOU succeed and reach YOUR goals is the best pay back ever.
